Thank you so much!  We couldn't do what we do without  help from folks like you!

Every 90 minutes…

Every 90 minutes, another random individual—you, me, a family member, a friend -- is struck with ALS. An otherwise healthy and active husband, wife, mother, father, sister, brother, son or daughter faces without warning, the reality of an incurable condition that will, within a relatively short period of time, bring paralysis and death.

In the midst of such a horrific situation, where is the hope?  Until seven years ago, when ALS Patient Services Outreach was born, the only hope came primarily from the organizations focused on finding a cure.  While this is extraordinarily urgent, there co-exists an equally urgent need -- the unseen and unsung needs of those valiantly living -- and dying -- with ALS every day, waiting for that cure.

Heroes among us...

The heroes of this ongoing hope are you - our partners, who tirelessly champion this cause through your countless volunteer hours and your donations. At any given time there are over 250 ALS patients in our state, all facing challenges like never before. Their needs include:

  • In-home personal visits as needed, or at a moment’s notice

  • ALS disease navigation and case management

  • 24/7 medical advice line

  • Guidance during medical emergencies

  • Medical equipment

  • Caregiving help

  • Home modifications

  • Home maintenance

  • Individualized emotional and spiritual support

  • End of life care planning

In order for this essential humanitarian support to continue, we urge you to join the APSO Ambassadors Direct Assistance Program.

Your monthly pledge of $83.33 will help us to reach an annual goal of $1,000 for each Oklahoma ALS patient and their family. Your monthly gift, or if you prefer, a one-time $1,000 donation, will help a fellow Oklahoman live with ALS today, until that future cure is found.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

--2 Corinthians 4:16-18
